Team Oasis

When Team Oasis was originally established in July 2003, we were founded on delivering dynamic and inclusive after-school sessions for local children. This led on to introducing similar groups session work with lots of local Schools.

For School Link sessions we would work with a particular group of children from a particular School for six weeks. During these sessions the children would go horse riding, bowling, ice skating, climbing and even skiing at The Runcorn Ski Centre. The sessions would reach a finale with a trip to a local restaurant of their choice. Children and teachers attending future sessions can look forward to a weekend holiday at a local holiday centre.

The main objective of our Charity is to bring together children of all abilities and circumstances and therein breaking down barriers that existed at that time. Therefore, as part of our School Link sessions we always included a regular trip to Calder Kids Adventure Centre in Hartshill Rd, Allerton. Calder Kids is a tremendous centre delivering fun and adventurte for children with disability. They generously invited Team Oasis to visit regularly with small groups of able-bodied children. This proved to be an immense success and will certainly be part of our after-school sessions ans School Link sessions as they begin again in October.

All children involved with our School Link sessions are selected by the School. Each School has their own reason for selecting the children and all activities are selected by the children.

Team Oasis community School Link sessions begin again in May 2009.
